Getting your test results
If your test results show that you need more tests or treatment, we will contact you.
Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can view them:
- in your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
- in your Patient Access account
- phone or visit us between 10am to 4pm and we will tell you what the results are

If you want to talk to someone about your results, fill out our test results request form and someone will be in touch.
Test Result Times
Smear test results take about 6 weeks to 8 weeks.
Blood test results are usually available within 1 week.
X-rays and Ultrasound results takes about 10 days.
Specimens
If you are asked to bring in a specimen please do so before 11:00am Monday to Friday, as they are collected and taken to St. George’s Hospital.
Blood Tests
We have a trained Phlebotomist and Healthcare Assistants on both sites who are able to take blood tests requested by the Doctor or Practice Nurse. Appointments are available Monday – Friday from 8am to 12pm.
If you have been asked to have a FASTING blood test, you need to attend in the morning, having had nothing to eat from midnight the night before. You may have a drink of water on the morning of the blood test, but not tea, coffee, fruit juice etc.
